Blowing bubbles together at the end of the last lesson of a course is a nice way to part ways. Also very music educational. Control of breath, activation of mouth muscles, to name two important elements. However, despite my good intentions to underpin this activity with pedagogical elements - after all it is music education - a father who was present said that it was magical. A mum agreed strongly and both were very happily blowing bubbles. All parents were making bubbles and clearly loved it. The children were either blowing - on occasion eating the plastic holder or spitting into it with full force - , admiring the bubbles that would magically appear from the little pots or chase them. Some Mozart in the background - a horn concerto. Magic indeed.
